Why "confirmed" matters here
Most wallet labels in bitcoin are educated inference. This one isn't: Bitfinex maintains a public wallet list in its own GitHub repository, and this address is on it. That self-publication is what lets us grade the label CONFIRMED instead of "attributed" — the distinction our entire verification methodology is built around.
Transparency has history here: after its 2016 hack, Bitfinex became one of the more radically public exchanges about its on-chain footprint. Publishing cold wallet addresses lets anyone — including us, including you — audit reserves in real time.
How we watch it
Same discipline as every exchange wallet: moves of 500 BTC or more trigger an alert with the transaction linked. Cold wallets move for operational reasons most of the time — the alert gives you the evidence, not a conclusion.
